Longer-lasting biocompostables

In order to improve energy and resource savings, we have promoted a way of working and production techniques that are a balance between economic growth, environmental care and social welfare.

That is why we decided to extract the potato ferula from our biocompostable material. Now, its chemical composition allows it to initiate degradation in composting plants, in direct and very prolonged contact with organic waste, humidity or constant direct light. As a result, its useful life is more effective and allows us to optimize its use.

The development of the chronometer

One of Moheda Group's flagship products has traditionally been its water-soluble bag, capable of clean and efficient decomposition in contact with water. It was very useful for the separation of textiles in hospital or health center cleaning during the pandemic and allowed us to stay further away from the virus, as the cleaning staff did not come into contact with the fabric until it came out of the washing machine and was disinfected.

Now, we are investing in innovation and development to take this line a step further, with the creation of what we know internally as a stopwatch. This is also a water-soluble bag, but we have been able to add a greater element to control its useful life. In this way, we have provided it with a large number of new applications, such as use by public administrations in their street cleaning work.

Jesús and Francisco Daza presented their understanding of sustainability and manufacturing at the Urban Solutions Symposium, an event that took place between September 20 and 22, 2022 and which hosted other companies at the Círculo de Empresarios de Galicia on the topics of cities, lighting, energy and sustainable mobility, with the participation of other leading companies such as Iberdrola and SGS.
