MohedaGroup Recognized by CEIM and the Madrid City Council for Its Environmental Best Practices

A few days ago, CEIM (the Madrid Business Confederation—CEOE)and the Madrid City Council presented us with an award recognizing our environmental best practices in Madrid. This award means much more than what you see in a photo or a headline.

Because if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that this isn't the work of just one person. It's the work of many.

A family business since 2008

From my brother Francisco, with whom I’ve been working on this project since the very beginning. We’ve been through it all: good times, tough times, difficult decisions, and many long hours of work.

And, of course, our father, Julián. The source of it all. The person who taught us to work hard, to persevere, and not to give up when things don’t go our way. Without him, none of this would exist.

And, above all, to the entire team at MohedaGroup.

None of this would be possible without the people who work every day on the factory floor, in logistics, in administration, or in sales, keeping everything running smoothly.

Our approach to sustainability

When we started out in 2008, in a small warehouse in Ciempozuelos (Madrid) with just one machine, talking about sustainability wasn't the norm.

Even so, we decided to take a different approach: recycling, optimizing resources, and developing more sustainable solutions.

Today, we’re continuing with that same approach. We manufacture recycled, compostable, and water-soluble trash bags, reducing the use of raw materials by up to 60% while maintaining the same quality and durability.

Beyond "greenwashing"

At a time when everything seems to be “sustainable,” we believe that what sets us apart is the actual work we do.

In improving production.
In improving processes.
In reducing the environmental impact.

It's not about saying it, but about doing it.

An acknowledgment that confirms we are on the right track

That is why receiving this recognition from CEIM and the Madrid City Council is so important. Not only because of what it signifies to the outside world, but also because it confirms that the path we set out on more than 15 years ago is the right one.
