From the visit to Moheda's facilities, the newspaper El Español was able to learn first-hand about the manufacturing process of new generation bags that is carried out in the company.
Jesús Daza, Moheda's Operations Director, accompanied the editor on this tour to show him what the materials used are like, their nature and the entire process to which they are subjected until they give rise to the star products: compostable waste collection bags and recycled and recyclable bags.
In Jesús Daza's conversation with El Español, it was possible to talk in depth about the problem of plastics and how, with proper management, real solutions can be found. Jesús Daza insisted on the use of existing plastics as a material to be used, without having to extract more raw materials, thus betting on a real circular economy and carrying out a continuous recycling of plastic.
The importance of compostable bags was evident, since this type of material returns to the earth quickly and naturally, and Moheda's new manufacturing line was highlighted: water-soluble bags. This product, which is diluted in water, providing zero toxics, is one of the products in the company's R&D process.
